PWA Boeing 737-200 C-GIPW at Rest | Alberta Aviation

Let’s face it. I’ll find any excuse to photograph this plane.

The retired Pacific Western Airlines (PWA) Boeing 737-200 C-GIPW (Fleet #745) now rests in a field, having flown for the last time on November 29th, 2013.

After far too many months away, and after I shot the rising sun over a field of pumpjacks, I headed out just so I can see her … the beautiful and now retired Pacific Western Airlines (PWA) Boeing 737-200 C-GIPW (Fleet #745).

As I’ve written in the past, she now rests at a field, having flown for the last time on November 29th, 2013 (aviation buffs will enjoy the video!).

Seeing this plane just makes me smile. No explanation required – it’s as simple as that and I’ll keep going back for more.

See you in the field!
