Bio

Alberta photographer and safety pro, driven by wildlife and nature, happiest when I’m behind the lens. Since 2011, I have also been rocking the mic as a co-host of the kickin’ photography podcast, Shutter Time with Sid and Mac.

I’m a lover of light and fully embrace the creative impact it has over our wide-open prairie landscapes and Canadian Rockies. Whether it’s a farmer’s field of golden wheat, a working pumpjack in the field, roaming wildlife, or the peaks of our rocky mountain ranges bathed in orange and pink, my goal is to capture its influence on our outdoors.

Being a strong supporter of wildlife conservation efforts, I am becoming more involved through my photography. I truly believe in and practice the ‘leave no trace’ philosophy of nature photography and wildlife viewing and encourage others to follow suit.

I truly enjoy and am humbled to be able to communicate with individuals and companies via my photography and I hope to continue to bring the beauty of the wondrous outdoors directly to you.

If you’d like to be in touch, please email me: sid [at] sidneyblake [dot] com and I’ll respond straight away!
